Our Exploration Field Trips are self-guided experiences that allow you to explore the whole museum based on your own learning goals. At The DoSeum we offer two experiences for you and your learners: We aim to increase educator capacity by creating experiences that align with students’ needs and by providing experiences that ignite learners’ passions and curiosities. Visiting The DoSeum allows your students to engage in STEM, the arts, and early literacy. Adventure Field Trips will require large groups to divide into smaller groups.Īdditional adults and children accompanying your group will be required to pay separately at the admission rate discussed above. For large groups, dividing classes into smaller groups can be helpful. Teachers will receive suggestions for how chaperones can support students in Adventure Field Trips.Īll students and chaperones will typically travel with their classroom teacher. ![]() For an improved Field Trip experience, please organize and assign your chaperone groups (groups are made up of 1 adult and 5 children) before you arrive. If your group is larger, please contact us and we will consider exceptions on a case-by-case basis.įield Trips require 1 chaperone for every 5 children (chaperones include teachers and must be 18 or older). How many students and chaperones can attend a visit?Ī Field Trip should not exceed more than 125 children per school/group. Many children enjoy purchasing a “memory” souvenir of their visit to the museum. We understand that this situation is sometimes unavoidable, however, and these children will be free if they are on a Membership.Ĭan we visit The DoSeum Store during our Field Trip? We discourage caregivers from bringing extra children not directly involved in the Field Trip (e.g., younger siblings). Member students must be paid for through the school.
